The beginning od a big game hunt (roe deer, red deer, boar) is often signaled by a horn sound and is concluded by three successive horn sounds. Rifles, bows or bowrifles are used for big game when shotguns are used for wingshooting. During big game hunts, roe deers, red deers and boars are seeked. For driven hunts, game is pushed by a line of beaters to a line of shooters. Shooters are facing the beaten forest and are waiting for roe deers, boars and red deers to cross their line. When animals are behind the shooters, then they can try to take them, only shooting behing them, back to the beating line. Hunting days are concluded with a ritual ceremony to pay tribute to the animals.
